On May 12th, 2008, Valtech Cardio Ltd., conducted a successful pre-clinical trial of EZ-RING implantation in an adult sheep.
The trial, conducted in Tel Hashomer, Israel assessed the hemodynamics of the valve and the implant itself. The company plans to conduct further extensive pre-clinical trials in the coming months to be followed by pre-clinical study in Italy.
Valtech Cardio Ltd is developing Percutaneous Annuloplasty Ring intended for Mitral Valve repair, for the treatment of Mitral Valve Regurgitation. Using a simple catheterization process for implementing the device which treats Mitral Valve Regurgitation, Valtech's treatment will be an alternative to the invasive open heart procedures that are currently in use
