Modi’in, Israel – 7 May 2008 - Geomage, a leading provider of seismic data processing services, announced today that Dr. Ken Larner will be joining the Geomage Executive Advisory Board. Dr. Larner is a noted authority on seismic data acquisition, processing, and interpretation.

Dr. Larner’s guidance will play a key role in realizing the Multifocusing solution roadmap and vision.”

Ken Larner received his degree in Geophysical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines (CSM) in 1960 and later earned a Ph.D. in Geophysics from MIT. In 1970, he joined Western Geophysical Company as a Senior Research Geophysicist, where he went on to become Vice President for Geophysical Research. He served as the President of Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) in 1988 -1989. After 18 years at Western Geophysical Company, Dr. Larner left to join the CSM Department of Geophysics as the Charles Henry Green Professor of Exploration Geophysics.

After retiring from CSM in 2004, Dr. Larner was honored to receive the title of University Emeritus Professor. As an internationally recognized geophysicist, he has received numerous awards, including the Conrad Schlumberger Award of the European Association of Geophysicists and Engineers, and SEG’s highest award, the Maurice Ewing Medal, in 1996. He is a Fellow at the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences and has served as Distinguished Lecturer for the SEG and for the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
