Visionsense Ltd provides proprietary custom sensors and algorithms that offer natural stereoscopic vision for minimally invasive surgery (MIS)
Its disruptive technology is based on a single 3D sensor that imitates insect vision, introducing a paradigm shift in the field.
It is the only solution for low cost miniature stereoscopic vision, fit for all types of scopes(rigid, semi-rigid and flexible) in either reusable or disposable designs. Being computerized allows advanced software features, like 3D measurements, real-time fusion with volumetric imaging modalities, registration of navigation systems and image analysis.
Current available MIS vision solutions provide 2D images that lack depth perception, thus restrict the surgeon’s perspective and ability to perform advanced MIS. Stereo vision and fusion pave the way for the use of advanced (articulating) surgical instruments and the development of new MIS procedures. Real-time navigation registration improves accuracy and options of performing surgery.
To demonstrate the advantages of its technology, Visionsense has assembled a full system (VSI), FDA cleared (510K) and CE Class IIa approved. It is used by leading surgeons in the US and Israel in all types of surgical specialties including: General Surgery, Gynecology, Urology, cardiothoracic, spine, Neurosurgery and others, for the development of new procedures and validation of current clinical claims. The technology has already demonstrated to improve surgical efficiency, safety and reduce learning curves. Visionsense is continuously working independently to develop new MIS procedures.
Visionsense’s business strategy is to exclusively license its technology, application or segment specific, to various strategic partners, benefiting a unique competitive advantage.
The Company is targeting the world-wide market for reusable and disposable MIS vision sensors, currently over $2 billion annually. |
