Management team biographies

Eyal Lifschitz

Managing General Partner
Co-founder

 

Eyal Lifschitz is CEO, General Partner and Co-Founder of Peregrine Ventures. On behalf of the Fund, Eyal serves on the Boards of many of the portfolio companies, including Valtech Cardio, NLT Spine, and CardioNova. Prior to founding Peregrine Ventures, Eyal co-founded and led the business development efforts of a number of medical technology companies including PharmaSys (acquired by Elan Corp. NYSE:ELN), ECR (acquired by AVX Corp. NYSE:AVX), Visioncare Ophthalmic Technologies, and BioControl Ltd. From 2003-2007 Eyal also served as a Director of Given Imaging (NASDAQ: GIVN).

 

Boaz Lifschitz

Managing General Partner
Co-founder

Boaz Lifschitz is General Partner and Co- Founder of Peregrine Ventures. On behalf of the Fund, Boaz serves on the Boards of Cartiheal, WhiteSource and is a Board observer in Rocketick and other companies. From 2009-2011 Boaz served as a Director of Neovasc Inc (NVCN). Boaz also sits on the Boards of Elbit Imaging Ltd. (EMITF), Insightec Ltd. and Gamida Cell Ltd. Prior to co-founding Peregrine Ventures, Boaz co-founded two biomedical device companies − Visioncare Ltd. and BioControl Ltd. Boaz also has vast experience in financing technology based companies, having been responsible for reviewing potential investments in early- and mid-stage stage companies. 

Boaz holds a BSc from Bar-Ilan University, as well as an MSc from Boston University jointly with Ben Gurion University.

 
 

Tamir Tal

Venture Partner

 

Tamir Tal has been with Peregrine Ventures since 2005. Tamir manages the operational side of Peregrine’s activities including daily operations, finances and transactions. Tamir also serves as the COO of Geomage Ltd., a Peregrine portfolio company that provides enterprise software solutions and services to the global oil and natural gas exploration and production industry. He also served as COO at Neovasc Medical Ltd., a cardiovascular medical device company and a Peregrine portfolio company. Tamir started his career as a corporate lawyer with Shiboleth LLP where he focused on hi-tech sector securities transactions, M&A and venture capital investments. 

Tamir holds an LLB from Tel Aviv University and an MBA, also from TAU.

 

Lior Shahory

General Partner

 

Lior Shahory has been with Peregrine Ventures since 2005. Lior brings extensive experience and expertise in investments due diligence, strategic planning, project management and business development. Working closely with entrepreneurs to establish successful companies. Since joining Peregrine, Lior has served as CEO of Incentive, Peregrine’s technology incubator. Under his leadership Incentive has received 7 excellence awards by the state of Israel for its performance and made 7 exits (Valtech, Neovasc, Bballoon, NLT spine, Eurekify, Marketyze, Rocketick).

Lior serves on behalf of Peregrine on the Boards of Memic, Eximo, Cordio , Magneto, Whitesoruce, Zuznow , Shapedo. Prior to Peregrine, Lior served as the Deputy Program Director of the Israel Chief Scientist Incubator Program.

Lior holds a BA in Economics and Business Management from the University of Haifa and an MBA from Tel-Aviv University.

 

Tal Carasso

Venture Partner, Director of Investor Relations

 

Tal Carasso joined the Peregrine team during 2011. He is in charge of all aspects of the interface with the Fund's investors. Tal also plays an active role in the Fund's business development process in general, and in screening potential new companies in particular.

Tal holds an MA in Organizational Consulting and a BA in Communication and Management.

 

 

 

David (Dudi) Eldar

CFO

 

Dudi Eldar joined Peregrine Ventures in 2010, before which Dudi was: CFO of Proficiency, an international software company with subsidiaries in the USA, Germany & France; VP Finance & Administration of IDgene, a Jerusalem-based bio-tech company where he oversaw finance and purchasing operations; and Controller and Internal Auditor of AVX Israel, an international high-tech company where Dudi was part of the financial team that led the company’s growth from 130 to over 550 employees.

Dudi holds a BA in Business from the College of Management in Tel Aviv and, as of 1996, is a Certified Public Accountant.
